We are an intellectual and creative studio where what we do matters more than who we are.
Tanophium is the work of two people, each bringing decades of experience from different yet complementary fields.
One of us is a medical doctor with a background in clinical medicine and therapeutic practice. This background is complemented by a longstanding engagement with psychology, alternative approaches to healing, spirituality, esoteric traditions and energy-based practices.
The other brings extensive experience in university teaching, education, languages, communication and management, alongside a deep interest in herbal traditions, the natural world and spiritual practices.
Having left our homelands long ago, we have lived among different cultures and navigated different legal and administrative systems. Along the way, we discovered that qualifications and professional experience do not transfer easily across national borders.
As opportunities disappeared, professional and personal connections were lost, and confidence in our future faded, we faced a difficult choice: abandon our aspirations or find our own way forward.
We had to start over.
We wanted to create an independent creative environment in which our knowledge and experience could take shape as useful tools, reach a wider audience, and return to us through feedback and inspiration.
Above all, we wanted our work to transcend geographical borders, allowing us to share our knowledge, develop our ideas and earn a living without depending on professional recognition in every country we might call home.
We saw this as an opportunity not only to sustain ourselves, but also to continue growing in our fields, our crafts and our ways of thinking.
Our story is not extraordinary. In many ways, it is a reflection of life itself. People everywhere face challenges, hardships, losses and situations in which making good decisions can seem impossible. Our appearances, bodies, backgrounds and circumstances may differ, but beneath those differences lie many of the same human questions, struggles and patterns.
And so, we envision Tanophium as a growing library of ideas, interpretations and tools exploring the mind, the spirit and the body. A place where the knowledge we have gathered and the perspectives we have developed take form and can be shared with everyone.
Our independence does not place us beyond professional responsibilities or ethical standards. We believe in clearly distinguishing established scientific knowledge from philosophical interpretations, symbolic systems and spiritual beliefs. Our creations are primarily intended as tools for reflection, exploration and understanding, rather than substitutes for medical or psychological care.
We hope our work inspires new perspectives, meaningful insights and the freedom to move forward in one's own way.
